Geometric Dimensioning

The basis for all our laser measurement services begins with determining acceptable engineering tolerances for the equipment or structure to determine the best course of action for the project.

Equipment Installation + Alignment

Falk PLI brings unprecedented accuracy and precision through the use of laser tracker 3D measurement technology, guaranteeing tolerance within .001 of an inch.

Dynamic Studies

By mounting laser tracker prisms to a piece of equipment, we monitor and report operating conditions that lead to root-cause analysis that might otherwise be undetected in a static state.

Surface Profiling

We utilize a combination of laser scanning and laser tracking technologies to provide a 3D topography of precise surfaces, helping to discover wear and root-cause of product defects.

Clash Detection

We identify interferences and collisions between components in a 3D virtual model prior to construction process. This helps reduce change orders and improves project coordination and execution.

Reverse Engineering + Part Inspection

Laser scanning and tracking technologies provide 3D geometric data for part conformance, analysis, and design. This includes generating 3D models, CAD files, and 2D drawings for fabrication.

3D-Modeling.jpg

3D Modeling

Laser scan point cloud data is collected before as-built conditions are translated into a 3D working model of the equipment or structure specific to client specifications.

Scan-to-CAD.jpg

Scan to CAD

Laser scan point cloud data is turned into information about a building structure or site to create deliverables that are useful to the AEC industry. These include data files, 2D drawings, and 3D models.

Structural Analysis

Falk PLI uses 3D laser tracking and laser scanning technologies to provide precision as-built verification for complex structures. Laser scanning provides the gross spatial measurements for larger components whereas laser tracking provides the precise vertical and horizontal measurements for precision alignment. Applications include: foundation stability, machinery installation, component centricity and alignment, and piping verification.
